Family Fun and Crystal Clear Water

Silver Glen Springs

October 4 - 5 - 6

WHAT:  Swim, Snorkel, Picnic, Day trip or overnight.  Hang with fellow boaters.
                       Enjoy the cold crystal clear water and explore the spring outlet.

WHEN:  Several cruiser boats will be going up Friday evening October 4th to stake out a good location. Look for Terry with a 33’ Chaparral  “SatisFaxtion” or Gary with a 29’ Sea Ray “ Whistlin Dixie”.  The boats will be at either green marker #16 or at far end – west end by the spring depending on available space. 


WHERE:  Silver Glen Springs is on the west side of Lake George, St. John’s River North.  Lake George is approximately ten miles north of Astor, Florida ramp/bridge.  When entering Lake George from the south there are large wood guides. Exiting the guides there are two options to find Silver Glen entrance. Either take a heading of 310 degrees to the  white sign by the Glen entrance. Another option is go down the center of the lake following the channel markers, go to Green Square marker # 10 take port turn to heading of 265 degrees to the entrance.  

                        The closest ramps are Astor Highway 40 (45 min ride) and Deland Highway 44 (90 min ride).
